Last week a team from Tharsus attended the tenth annual Northumberland Business Awards, along with colleagues from our sister company Universal Wolf.
The ceremony was held at Linden Hall and Tharsus was shortlisted in no less than three categories, Large Business of the Year, Employer of the Year, and Apprentice/Trainee of the Year. We were delighted to have three of the five shortlisted nominees in the latter category, with our own Rebecca Henry and Jack Thomas in contention alongside Universal Wolf’s trainee Connor Little.
It was a fantastic night and we are pleased to announce that we were Highly Commended in the Large Business of the Year category. This is a great result as we were shortlisted alongside such established regional institutions as Northumbria Water and Newcastle Airport. We send our congratulations to the category winner, our near neighbour, Port of Blyth.
We were also thrilled to see Connor Little take Apprentice of the Year, a well-deserved win according to all his colleagues who nominated him for his exceptional dedication to his role. Connor is entering his final year of training as a Quality Inspector at Universal Wolf and looks to have a very exciting career ahead of him. Well done Connor!
Thank you to everyone who made our evening so enjoyable and congratulations to all the other category winners. We are now looking forward to the North East Business Awards on Thursday the 22nd of February, where we are shortlisted for the Manufacturing Award and the coveted title of Company of the Year. Fingers crossed!
