The 12th of March 2019 was the date of the first ever Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Showcase (RAI19), run by the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) and sponsored by Tharsus.
The first ever Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Showcase was hosted at the !Audacious Church in Salford, Manchester.
The pouring rain that arrived on the day did little to dampen the enthusiasm of 500 eager delegates. The event was completely sold out and there were many people outside prepared to brave the inclement weather in the hopes of securing a space from the 100 strong waiting list.
RAI19 proved to be an exceptional meeting place for the UK robotics and AI community and a rich source of information and ideas for those looking to enter this fast developing sector. Tharsus was delighted to help the KTN bring this event to life and to be in attendance.
Not only did the team exhibit, but our CTO Dave Swan gave a talk entitled ‘How to load the dice when approaching innovation’, discussing the importance of clarity of outcomes and then keeping these in focus throughout any project. This proved popular with attendees and feedback was very positive.
Our Business Development Director John Toal and our Robotics and Autonomous Systems Market Lead John Hannah then conducted a well-attended work shop ‘How to commercialise your robotics innovation workshop’. They explained the process of successfully transforming an early stage innovation into a commercial product, referencing the way that Tharsus approaches the specific challenges involved.
Our exhibition stand was busy all day and we thoroughly enjoyed speaking with delegates and making and renewing contacts.
A huge thank you and congratulations to the KTN team who worked so hard to make this possible. We are so proud to have supported the inaugural RAI event.
If you missed us at RAI19 but would still like to know more about how we are helping ambitious businesses succeed with advanced machines and robots and how we can help with your project, contact us.
