The BT 21CN cable management system has accounted for a large proportion of BT’s capital investment.
As the main supplier of BT’s traditional TEP1e overhead cabling system, Tharsus were asked to look at the development of a new solution that would streamline installation and improve the efficiency to cope with the increased exchange upgrade activity required to support the rollout of the new broadband network.
A Project Deliveredto a National Scale.
Tharsus designed and developed an innovative RACSS – rapid access cable support system – solution which delivered a number of significant benefits, including a significant contribution to health and safety by reducing the time required working at height.
An Innovation drivenApproach.
The solution greatly reduced the total cost of installing cable management on site, providing increased cable volume and improved separation of both copper and fibre cables from AC and DC power cables.
Alongside the innovative engineering solution, Tharsus also developed a full back office order planning system to facilitate BT 21CN project management and installation schedules.
From order placement, timed deliveries were made to site within five working days.
