Fluorescent Light Efficiency

Energy efficiency is becoming increasingly important to specifiers of light boxes, as the cost of power increases and alternative energy sources demand ever increasing system efficiencies.

Fluorescent lighting of light boxes is and will remain for some time, the most efficient form of illumination for the outdoor advertising industry.

Fluorescent tubes produce more light per watt of power than any other light source and can be seen thus;

Electroluminescent: 18 Lumens per watt
LED: 40 Lumens per watt
Fluorescent tubes (T8): 80 Lumens per watt
Fluorescent tubes (T5) up to 105 Lumens per watt
