Tharsus invests in a Faro Arm
April 2008
Tharsus Engineering has recently invested in a high accuracy, Platinum Faro Arm Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
A measurement precision of 0.013mm and 7-axes availability enables a trained operator to inspect, reverse engineer or perform CAD-to-part-analysis on parts, fixtures and assemblies with previously unheard of accuracy.
The Faro Arm is capable of measuring parts up to 3.6m by 3.6m by 3.6m, making it ideal for inspecting larger high quality sheet metal fabrications and assemblies.
When its accuracy is partnered with the powerful software suite, the Faro Arm is ideal for both first off component checking and ongoing Statistical Process Controls (SPC) of production.
