Tharsus Develops New RACSS Concept

Tharsus has developed a new Rack and Cabling Support System (RACSS) concept. The new product design, installed in telephone exchanges for BT, replaces the old TEP 1e systems. They enable BT to radically improve its telephone exchange installation practice.
Manufactured using folded sheet metal components to replace existing steel sections, the new product design reduces costs and weight. The RACSS system is supplied assembled and ready to be lifted from ground level into position, in an easy two-man procedure which negates the need for working at heights and the associated approvals required by technicians for overhead installation. Tharsus also organised and ran installation training courses for the new system, enabling technicians to become familiar with the new product design very quickly. more…
