We have designed and produced a range of variable message sign enclosures, CCTV displays, components, enclosures, and control system housings for use in various environments including road side, bus stops, and train stations.

These environments normally require the use of aluminium and stainless steels, with high quality welding and both high visual quality and high performance finishing.

This is ideal work for Tharsus as it utilises our full range of skills and machinery.

Client Problem

A Park & Ride scheme information Totem was required to house an innovative 42" TFT screen delivering real time bus information, news and advertising. The unit had to be structurally sound for external location, as well as being aesthetically pleasing.

Tharsus Solution

Having understood the brief we developed the 3D design in Autocad Inventor, with a structural chassis clad in a brushed stainless steel. Particular attention was paid to ensure that the TFT screen could not be damaged, this was one the first projects of its kind in the UK.

Result

A 2.6m high Totem was produced which passed all acceptance trials and is now installed at Cambridge bus station.
