Tharsus Engineering has a long history of supplying components for land combat vehicles.

Client Problem

In recent years with the move from main battle tanks to lighter fighting vehicles, BAE Systems are changing their manufacturing model, to become a higher volume vehicle integrator and assembler.

Tharsus Solution

We have used the automotive experience of a number of our senior staff to set up a business unit at our Blyth facility which utilises industry best practice, including full quality plans, controlled manufacturing fixtures, in process inspection, inspection jigs and scheduled delivery to line-side, in purpose made stillages.

BAE have confidence in the products they receive, which results in reduced inventory costs, reduced inspection costs and reduced administration costs.
