CBS wanted to replace their existing fixed advertising display units above escalator advertising units on the London Underground.
Their old display system required a scaffold to change the poster, we replaced this with an automated unit to make poster changing quicker and therefore cheaper. As a result this enabled the sites to be sold to a wider range of advertisers and therefore generate more revenue.

Stage 2
CloseEngineer
We designed, integrated and engineered a solution to the problem of poster changing above escalators on the London Underground without a scaffold. In engineering a solution we used a number of proprietary items such as garage door automation components along with bespoke items designed specifically for this purpose.
Stage 3
CloseNPI
A precise assembly and packaging specification was created to support delivery to different underground stations, allowing for easy and logical decanting and manual movement of the unit components within each station.
Stage 4
CloseManufacture
Each unit was manufactured to site specific dimensions in order to optimize the space available at each location and maximize the impact of the poster message. This required an extremely flexible manufacturing approach with accurate work instructions and a well defined project schedule for each and every unit.
Stage 5
CloseDeliver
Individual units were marshaled at a depot close to the designated station before delivery on the night to the station at a precisely appointed time. This delivery timing was critical due to the short night time working window that is available on the underground.
Stage 6

Tharsus provided installation support and training for the contractors initially at the factory and then on site during the initial installs
