Engineer – Design (Electronic Controls)

Reports to: Senior Design Engineer

Can you design the electronic subsystems of successful products?

Are you ready to take a key role solving problems supporting Pilot Manufacturing to take products into serial production?

 

What you’ll do:

You’ll be designing, testing and developing “brilliant” solutions for commercially successful products relating to the electronic control systems within a product.

You’ll be preparing technical documentation; PCB layout / schematics, manufacturing drawings, BoM’s, design reports, risk assessments. Microcomputers, analogue, digital, I/O power electronics and battery powered.

You’ll be diligent, yet creative with a product and process focus.

You’ll thrive when working collaboratively with our Solutions Architecture, Project Management and Design Engineering teams.

And… you’ll have the opportunity to support the Pilot Manufacturing team to introduce products you have designed taking them into serial production.

Head of Design

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

How would you like to be Head of the Team when your clients proudly say ‘Tharsus designed our product’?

Do you have the ambition needed to take a leading role bringing products new to market in the commercial robotics and mechatronics markets?

What you’ll do:

You’ll be key to the Executive team, responsible for providing the leadership and management of all product design, test and certification activities within the business.

You’ll establish the structures, systems and management processes necessary to enable the continued rapid growth of your team.

You’ll be developing your team of talented Design Engineers.

You’ll be delivering a wide variety of complex products to a production ready state with quality of the product data supplied to downstream customers a key message of success.

You be responsible for the Design Department P&L so with that will have responsibility for the effective utilisation of resource to deliver value to client.

Through organising your department you’ll enable continued growth, while you also cope with multiple projects of differing scope, complexity, scale and duration. So you’ll be organised!

Most products will be ‘new to market’, so you’ll have a strong focus on robustly delivering a minimum viable launch product. Once you have market feedback you’ll evolve the design.

By capturing the learning and evolving knowledge base of your team you’ll enable increased efficiency of delivery and product complexity.

What you’ll do:

Working as part of the Marketing and Communications team, you will help to raise the profile of the Tharsus Group brands and drive engagement with their target audience through the planning and execution of digital (including email) marketing campaigns, optimisation of webpages and creation of digital content including email templates, newsletters, graphics and videos.

In addition to this you will be responsible for analysing and reporting on visitor data and devising new ways to maximise our visibility and reach of content assets through SEO. A big focus of this role will be on driving engagement for the website, reducing bounce rates and promoting social media channels.

We’re adding to the team with a Leader and Coach for our stores.
Are you ready to take a key role to ensure that production is fully stocked at all times?

 

What you’ll do:

There’s lots to do to ensure that stores are efficient and production continues to meet our continually growing customer demand.

Energetic, outgoing and confident, you’ll be developing and getting to know your people.

We need you to work with your team to manage all transport activity ensuring goods are booked in, products are stored and recorded accurately.

Internally you’ll be working with our material planners to ensure deliveries minimise bottlenecks for your team booking goods in.

You’ll be developing and leading them to maintain inventory accuracy and manage perpetual inventory.

You’ll contribute increase efficiency through making sure that your team have parts kitted and delivered to production on a JIT basis.

What you’ll do:

There’s lots to do to ensure that stores are efficient and production continues to meet our continually growing customer demand.

A core member of the stores and material handling team you’ll be responsible for ensuring that materials are correctly handled and managed to ensure accurate and reliable stock records.
